Email addresses of 5 million customers leaked: Robinhood

A third party has hacked the email addresses of Robinhood Markets Inc.'s nearly 5 million customers. This information was given by the company on Monday. News Reuters. The company added that hackers had stolen the full names of another 2 million customers. Including personal information of 310 people such as name, birth and date and zip code information. Robinhood believes the cyber-attack did not leak any social security numbers, bank account numbers or debit card information. The attack, which took place on November 3, did not cause any financial loss to any customer, Robinhood said. Hackers called a customer service worker to keep them busy and took away access to parts of the customer service system. The hackers demanded money in exchange for the seized information. Meanwhile, Robinhood's share price fell 3% consequently.
